Two Lasting and quick solutions

Two lasting and quick solutions that don’t require waiting

It seems that life is full of processes and tests we have to go through to reach solutions. Not necessarily to reach higher, but to continue growing and moving forward as we get older. There’s also the process of mastering something. We have to practice a technique over and over again for years, learn it, and then attain a new level, but that level requires the same amount of work to maintain it.

And maybe that’s the reason we continue to set new goals, find new solutions, and invest ourselves in something that becomes our identity.

That cycle of life can get tiring.

That’s why we should take a mental break and focus on two aspects of life where we don’t have to prove anything to anyone. This is a safe place and doesn’t require years of experience to reach. Those solutions are available in an instant and can fulfill us more than any achievement.

Those instant actions are:

  • being loved by God and
  • calling out to God.

1st Solution: Receiving God’s unconditional love

As we’ve experienced before, many times it takes impressing a person to receive love from them. Because of that it’s easy to associate God’s love with a parent’s love, a spouse, siblings, or a mentor. We may think we deserve God’s love only when we’ve performed well, but that’s not the case

Psalm 27:10 says, “Though my father and mother forsake me, the Lord will receive me.”

We begin to think that if we can please God, and meet his expectations and his commandments, then he loves us.

The truth is that His love never leaves us.

1 John 4:19 says, “We love because he first loved us.”

We don’t have to do anything to earn his love. No status, job, or ambition can make him love us more. When we feel rejected in other areas, we can rest knowing that God loved us first. God knows our mistakes before they occur and he still chooses to love us.

“Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.”

1 Peter 4:8

We don’t have to be ashamed

We don’t even have to hide from God because of our sins. When we repent, Jesus Christ covers our sins. Of course, we’re not talking about sinning deliberately. When we continuously sin we are not truly repenting because we’re no longer ignorant of our actions. His word says that God made a way for us to be with him, despite our sinful nature.

John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

God’s love is incredible. We don’t have to impress him with our good works because God never asked us to over-work with the demands of life to be seen by him. God loves us because he is love.

1 John 4:16 says “And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.”

Once we accept that profound truth, we can lay our burdens down and rest knowing that God loves us right where we’re at.

“The Lord appeared to us in the past, saying: ‘I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.’”

Jeremiah 31:3

Don’t wait to receive a certain blessing or achieve a higher level to feel as if God loves you. We can receive his love right now.

2nd Solution: God is near to those who call on Him

God is a thought away. He doesn’t put us on hold when we call on him. There’s no distance between his location and our heart.

Psalm 145:18 says, “The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.”

It can be as simple as quietly whispering to God I need you in the middle of the chaos. Or separating ourselves from the noise for a few seconds, getting on our knees, and lifting our hands to praise him. His peace will reach us instantly. When we’re tired, upset, or worn out, we can feel confident knowing that he is near and will comfort us.

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”

Psalm 34:18

Even in our darkest moments, when we feel that we can’t count on anyone, God is there. We can sit at his feet for hours if we have the luxury of time, but for the busy moments, a few seconds in God’s presence is enough to get us through the day. In those few seconds, he is there.

Psalm 139:7-8 says, “Where can I go to escape Your Spirit? Where can I flee from Your presence? If I go up to heaven, You are there; if I make my bed in Sheol, You are there.”

God comes to our rescue as soon as we call him. He will meet us right where we’re at.

“God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us.”

Acts 17:27

In Conclusion

It’s important to remember that when we’re drowned by the busyness of life and it feels like we have no more energy to give, God is there ready to shower us with his love. It’s his nature to love us. We don’t have to work or wish harder for a solution. When we face challenges that seem bigger than what we can handle, the Lord is near. There’s no place too far or deep where God can’t find us. At all times he is near us.

Prayer to experience God’s love

Dear Lord,

Thank you for life. Thank you for showing me your love through your son Jesus Christ. Your word says that you are always near. Thank you for loving me first. I ask you to help me rely on your love and show love to others. In those moments of frustration, when nothing seems to go right, help me to see that I don’t have to be perfect to receive your love. I trust that you’re here with me. Even when I feel broken, I trust that your love is near. I love you.

In the name of Jesus, Amen.
